Personality Development Scheme  ( For Girls )

 This is a introduced by the University to develop the Confidence and personality of a Lady Student Who comes from the Rural areas and are from deprived sections of Society.   The marginalization and deprivation is double for woman from the backward or Scheduled cast and Scheduled tribes. The main objective of this scheme is to develop a critical mind, self-confidence and a commitment to society.  The lady students are provided with training in health, law and social activities. They are also facilitate with the training in self-employment and other activates that enhance their social confidence. This scheme is open to all regular lady students From college funds for organizing these are provided by the university.

The main objective of the scheme is to develop a student as a multifaceted personality with academic excellence and a commitment to an egalitarian society. India lives in her villages and to bridge the gap between rural Bharat and urban India, this scheme is basically undertaken for the benefit of students coming from the rural areas, who are economically backward, intelligent, and meritorious but cannot afford higher education, needy and financially hard pressed. It inculcates in the student the idea that no work is big or small and develops a work culture with the right aptitude. It is now been announced by our Vice Chancellor, Dr.Narendra Jadhav that the scheme should be flexible to give work to those who demand it. This is a vision of keeping our youth gainfully employed as well as to contribute from civil society. This is a paradigm shift in the way we see higher education. This will make higher education accessible and available to the poor, meritorious and the marginalized. 

The scheme is at present being undertaken at the graduate and  post-graduate level on the College .  Financial assistance to the extent of  ten percent of the expenditure incurred by the affiliated Colleges/ Institute is reimbursed to the concerned on submitting the necessary papers to the Director, Board of Students'  Development. Under this scheme those students who are interested in joining are to fill the necessary application form, which is then scrutinized by an appropriate committee. The list of students who have been finally enrolled in the scheme are to be sent to the Director, Board of Students'  Development on or before 15 th  July every year, subject to the condition that the College / Institution has been given permission to undertake the scheme. The students enrolled under the scheme are given the following types of work namely-That increase their skills in areas of their study, office work, technical work   and field work. However when the distribution of work is given it is seen that all students get equal opportunity to get all different kinds of work and that each student gets eighty percent of technical work and twenty percent of fieldwork. Office work includes working at the Library or any other office of the institute.

Nirbhay Kanya Abhiyan

The lady students in which the majority of them come from rural based background. These students have to travel daily by bus or other means of transport to attend their college. It is very likely that these lady students during their travel may experience all sorts of atrocities in a challenging environment, which prevails today. In order to make them face the prevailing situation and develop self- confidence to face courageously these situations this scheme has been introduced. In the above scheme Students from about 5 colleges that are proximately and geographically near each other are requested to from group and out of these one college is selected by the Director, Board of Students Development  who will be responsible to Organize this one day activity. Financial assistance is provided for the same by the university.

Special Guidance Scheme

The basic objective of this scheme is to help those students who are deprived of the latest knowledge of the subject they undertake at the first year level. Secondly, to inculcate the urge to educate one self, and that education liberates one internally as well as externally. Thirdly, to offer guidance to students in their career choices and the relevant subjects to be pursued by them to attain their best potential. The enrollment under this scheme is basically for students who are economically, financially backward and also to the reserved category students. There is no limit on the number of students who can be enrolled under this scheme.

Financial assistance to the tune of Rs. 9,000/- only is given to the concerned college / institute which undertakes this scheme. Any lecturer who is invited to deliver lecturers in this scheme is given an honorarium of Rs. 300/- per lecture. Students have to apply in the prescribed form for joining this scheme. The colleges / institutes have to take prior permission from the Director, Board of Students' Welfare to undertake this scheme and that the said proposal from college / institute of the scheme be forwarded to the Director, Board of Students' Welfare on or before 15th September every year for approval. At the end of the year the respective college / institute has to submit all necessary papers / documents at the time of central audit after which the necessary payments are made
