Shri Shahu Mandir Mahavidyalaya is a college which truly serves the purpose of educating all without any distinction and in that it stands distinct from the rest. For we educate the poorest of the poor with the motto “Bahujan Hitaya, Bahujan Sukhaya” i.e for the well-being and happiness of the masses. It is for this significant role played by our college in “spreading higher education among the most disadvantaged sections of society besides our award winning performance in sports, games, N.S.S. & N.C.C. that the NAAC awarded us with A Grade.

The foundation of the college was laid in 1960 to meet the educational needs of underprivileged sections of society. The College offers three-year integrated programs in B.A. and B.Com., along with B.B.A. and B.B.A. (CA) programs. Additionally, the college provides Postgraduate courses in English, Economics, Marathi, and Commerce, affiliated with Y.C.M.O.U.
Our dedicated, skilled, and experienced faculty members work diligently to maintain high academic standards and encourage students to engage in a wide range of extracurricular and co-curricular activities. These activities are designed to support the overall personality development of students, fostering creativity, resilience, integrity, and leadership qualities.

Each year, our students excel in various cultural, research, and athletic events, securing top positions in both national and international competitions. The college also offers a variety of skill-based add-on courses aimed at preparing students for both employment and self-employment. We have developed comprehensive short-term and long-term plans, aligning them with the institution’s standards of excellence. The college has been awarded an ‘A’ grade twice by NAAC, and we continue to strive for even greater academic excellence.
